What You must see: “Flight Intestine” by Chris Labrooy

The British artist and designer Chris Labrooy creates virtual but hyperrealistic sculptures that amazed people because of its realistic aspects. What you must have: DVD – “The Possible Lives of Christian Boltanski”

The German writer, film-maker and art critic Heinz Peter Schwerfel made an autobiographical documentary about one of the most important contemporary artist Christian Boltanski. “The possible lives of Christian Boltanski”, which is a kind of the artist’s confession, makes the viewers travel around the world, (Paris, Berlin, Japan) and make them discover his strory and his unknown artworks. Christian Boltanski has been awarded the Goslar “Kaiserring” and the Japanese “Praemium Imperiale”.

What you must know: The 13th Edition of the Nuit Blanche in Paris

The 4th October 2014, Paris will be transformed into an open-air contemporary art museum. About fifty artists, including Swoon, SpY, Borondo, Tristan Eaton and Thomas Canto, will exhibit their installations and permanent artworks. Directed by José-Manuel Gonçalvès, the boss of the art center; CentQuatre, the Nuit Blanche will take place this year on the left bank of Paris. “For this edition, we wanted to go to different territories by drawing the grande randonnée artistique (GRA) way”, said Gonçalvès. The visitors will be able to discover freely 6 steps of this event without queuing, that’s the advantage of an open-air exhibition. The event will start this Saturday (October 4) at 7pm and will end at 7am on Sunday (October 5) with two brunchs at Necker hospital and at the City of Fashion and Design.
