A dream in Hans Op de Beeck’s night time
Since wednesday 6 of november, you can admire the singular work of Hans Op de Beeck in the Museum of the Botanique. As you enter, you are directly attracted by the serene atmosphere that exalts from the artist’s paintings, highlighted with a sober and warm scenography. The exhibition presents a series of aquarelles and drawings, a movie realised especially for the occasion, all inspired by the atmosphere of the night and, as so, magnified by the unique use of the color black. Distancing himself with the exact representation of reality, Op de Beeck pushes the visitor to look at the picture with an other regard, more intimate and mental, less precise in a certain materiality. He invite you to introspect yourself and immerge in a world where time stopped, where everything is suspended in a poeticconfusion. Use the benefit of this long week-end to visit this singular exhibition and sink in the artist’s night time.
