What u must see: The Botticelli Renaissance @Gemäldegalerie - Kulturforum, Berlin.
From 24/09/2015 to 24/01/2016
The Florentine painter Sandro Botticelli (1445-1510) is one of the greatest artists of the Renaissance. His works have been widely reproduced, with many of the reproductions distorting or "modernising" the originals. These "pictures" have now taken on careers of their own, often being so distanced from Botticelli's works that nowadays the painter's name is often used to denote fashion and lifestyle without any mention being made of his paintings.
What you must have: Fifty Shades of Grey ? No, 1,000 COLOURS !
Artist Clemens Habicht created a puzzle composed of 1,000 different colors arranged to look like a CMYK gamut. Habicht says: “Unlike ordinary puzzles where you are in effect redrawing a specific picture from a reference, you have a sense of where ever piece belongs compared to ever other piece. There is a real logic in the doing that is weirdly soothing, therapeutic.”
Do you have an intuitive sense of color? The 1,000 Colours puzzle costs $40 and you can tag your pictures on Instagram #1000ColoursPuzzle and they will share your photos.
