Having become a privileged place for culture, the Ixelles Museum, because of the great quality of its collections, greatly contributes to the reputation of Brussels. The museum decided to present the powerful and poetic work of the contemporary artist, Gao Xingjian. French Chinese is a prolific artist, novelist, playwright, critic, translator, screenwriter, director, painter and awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2000.
