Julie Bergeron is a ceramic artist based inPantin, Île-de-France, originally from Québec, Canada. Initially trained ingraphic design, she has developed a distinctive sculptural ceramic practicesince 2002, where clay becomes a field of exploration between nature,imagination, and organic form.

Her work draws inspiration from marine worlds, exotic plants, and microscopicorganisms. Through hand-built stoneware sculptures created using traditionalcoil techniques, Julie Bergeron produces fluid and textured forms that seem tobelong to a living, hybrid universe in constant transformation.

The artist intentionally leaves her works unglazed in order to reveal the rawtactile beauty of clay itself. Each sculpture is carefully engraved andenriched with organic details — suckers, spikes, reliefs, and natural textures— resulting in objects that feel simultaneously strange, sensual, and alive.

Influenced by Ernst Haeckel’s biological illustrations as well as the flowinglines of Art Nouveau, Julie Bergeron develops collections such as Ambivalenceand Coques, where the boundaries between flora and fauna appear to dissolve.Signature works including Dragons des mers, Chenille, and Coques à pointesexplore notions of balance, movement, and transformation.

Through an organic and tactile aesthetic, her work invites both contemplationand curiosity. Each sculpture becomes a unique exploration of the strangebeauty of living forms — handcrafted, rooted in nature, and shaped byimagination.
