Lignes Beige, 2024 by french artist Rene Galassi evoke the dynamic waves of the sea, captured with remarkable precision. Unique Edition.

René Galassi develops a singular artisticpractice situated at the intersection of painting, sculpture, and engraving. His visual universe unfolds across unconventional surfaces and raw materialstransformed into vibrant compositions where color, texture, and light becomeliving forces.

Known notably for his signature paper Calicots, Galassi creates surfacescharged with tension, animated by pigment eruptions and organic rhythms. Hiswork pays tribute to the Mediterranean Sea — its shifting landscapes, southernlight, and the elemental energy of nature.

As his artistic language evolved, René Galassi expanded his practice throughthe use of earth, clay, ochre, and gold leaf combined with canvas and reliefstructures. His wall pieces, positioned between relief painting and sculpture, reveal a refined mastery of material and gesture. Dynamic lines and structuredforms evoke waves, marine currents, and the perpetual movement of Mediterraneanlandscapes.

Light plays a central role throughout his work. It moves across the reliefs, transforms the surfaces, and animates the compositions with a sense ofcontinuous motion. Each piece appears to evolve according to the viewer’sperspective and the changing space surrounding it.

Through the fusion of painterly and sculptural techniques, René Galassi createsworks that are both sensitive and architectural, where matter itself becomesmemory, vibration, and energy. His constantly evolving visual language invitesviewers into an immersive experience where color, texture, and light exist inpoetic balance.
