Hélène Dawans, born in 1966 in Belgium, is known for her abstract works created on reclaimed wood panels. She began working with wood in 2011, drawn to its warmth, imperfections, and history, which give her art a unique depth and resonance.
Her practice combines a mastery of color, texture, and form with a sensitivity to the natural qualities of her chosen material.
